Call in The Caterers are a family business based in Newport, Shropshire. Husband and wife team Peter and Sarah Roberts started the company in 2005.

Eleven years on, The business is now the outside catering arm of Orchard Dining Ltd which also encompasses The Orchard – A contemporary restaurant based on the High Street in Newport. The team has expanded and so has the portfolio of events and consultancy that the team can offer.

Peter has over twenty years’ experience as a chef, working in hotels and conference suites across Shropshire and Staffordshire. A real passion for using local and seasonal foods in home-made dishes is at the core of the business and Peter believes in sustainable food with taste.

Sarah originally trained in design but then developed a career in business consultancy over recent years. Sarah is now the director of the company and works on both the front of house functions, the back of house management and event co ordination.

The ethics behind Call in The Caterers’ provision of service are all about exceeding customer expectations of food and hospitality using locally-sourced produce and ingredients that are in season wherever possible. Chef believes in keeping food miles down and taste and quality high.

When you book Call in The Caterers to cater for your event, wedding or dinner party you will enjoy meat from the local butcher, cheese from the local farms and fresh vegetables peeled and prepared that day.

The team that welcomes you and your guests and serve your meal will be polite, efficient and discreet. Recruited locally and trained to a professional level of service and customer care, they all wear our corporate uniform and a smile, meaning you can have total confidence that your guests will be well cared for.
